Pumpkin art, books and activities

These are some of the pumpkin themed crafts that we did.

1. Marble painting - I cut out the orange construction paper in the shape of pumpkin and gave R some marble sot betippe dinto the paint and the roll the marble over the cut outs pumpkin kept in a tray

2. We made some pumpkin prints from the decorative pumpkins which I had bought from Wlamart

Last but not the least Daddy carved out a beautiful jack-o-lantern. It was so much fun...

I sang many pumpkin songs for him. As all kids love the 5 little pumpkins was the favorite. I made the poem props from childcareland.com

I asked R to tong orange and green pompoms into a pumpkin shaped ice tray.

I got the number cards from prekinders.com and asked R to lay them out in order and then we counted that many number of seeds on the pumpkin.

We also played a grid game from prekinders.com

I got these mini pumpkins from Dollar Tree and asked R to sort them by color and then count them and put the appropriate number card into the bowls.

After reading the book "It's pumpkin time" by Zoe Hall, I gave R the pumpkin's lifecycle cards which I got from Montessori for everyone and asked him to put them in order. He was not much interested in these but after asking him questions like how will you grow pumpkin vine? You need seeds and then what happens to the seed? then R was able to put the cards.
